LIFE CAN BE TOUGH.. But there are answers. I have never been suicidal, although the thought did cross my mind on occasions. I know some young people who have been suicidal and have spent time talking with them. This doesn't make me an authority on the matter, but I care greatly about people who feel that this is an option. I know that suicide tendancies can be overcome and that often the answer is as simple as having someone to talk to who is prepared to listen and not judge. THE SCARIEST THING The scariest thing about suicide is that it doesn't end anything. You can kill the flesh, but not the soul. Can you imagine getting desperate enough to attempt suicide and then finding out that you're not dead at all, but you have to face the consequences of having killed your body? I can't imagine what it would be like to face God under those circumstances, but I can't imagine it being a good thing.
I know from personal experience and from the experiences of others who I have heard from, that God has a plan for each and every life. God loves each and every one of us, yes, you too. He created each one of us for a purpose that will make us complete and give us the best experience possible in this life. It's true that there are often hard times to go through and the Christian life has its challenges. But God is there for us, to encourage, to care, to comfort, to provide for. It's amazing how He comes through in difficult times. I remember well as a new Christian, when things seemed to get on top of me, sitting at my dining table with my head resting on my folded arms. I used to picture myself sitting on my Heavenly Father's lap, resting my head on His chest. This was a real experience for me and the comfort and peace that I found there was nothing short of amazing. His love was there for me, even as it is today. The fact is, knowing God is the most challenging, and the most rewarding experience that anyone can have. LOVE WITHIN God is love. This is a simple statement, but very true. His love is available to anyone who is prepared to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour (see Bridge The Gap)
Triumph! Harrowing defeat Desperation in plight Hidden from sight The gnarly cross He rose from the dead Once burdened with shame Life is now new Life now so precious
